Ceremonial Centers and Forests in the La Leche Valley is part of the Tentative list of Peru in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
La Leche Valley is a complex of two sites illustrating the Lambayeque culture and its evolution in the Equatorial Dry Forest ecosystem between the eighth and fifteenth centuries.This culture based on agriculture was renowned for its mastery of water engineering and its construction of monumental adobe pyramids, especially in Tucume. The Historical Sanctuary Bosque de Pomac has a rich historical and archaeological heritage, but above all a biological one, since it is home to a rare ecosystem of Ecuadorian dry forests inhabited by numerous endangered or endemic species of fauna and flora.
